"Stilettos and Steel" is based on the true story of a young woman who ran away to the Tenderloin District of San Francisco to explore her sexuality.

She wound up in a colorful world of prostitutes, pimps, cross-dressers, cops, and thugs and eventually became the pimp for her own band of women looking for protection from the rough and tumble streets.
